The Chef Capsule
My collaboration with Chef Sweta and Chef Aven was for a the DC chapter of Queer Soup Night (QSN). Throughout the night I was able to film and photograph their entire process. The end product was posts on each of their Instagram feeds and Instagram takeovers..
With a week’s notice before this event, it was important to communicate with QSN regarding the timing of their announcements across all platforms to align with the chefs' stories and feed posts. During the event, I found that engagement peaked when I posted real-time stories. This allowed for the venue, QSN, and other vendors through reposts, introducing a new audience to one another.
In total, there was a collective increase in followers by an impressive 77%!
This reel was really fun to integrate with the trending sound of that moment. This was Chef Sweta’s first event so I wanted to cut brief snapshots of her process throughout the night even if it made for a longer video.

Chef Aven's feed strikes a balance between video and photo content. This was important for me to consider, particularly when curating post-event material.
Chef Aven and I began our collaboration early last year. Together we’ve crafted their brand, figured out how they want to be seen by their customers, which platforms they resonate with the most, and what kind of content is the most authentic from them.
Below is an independent collaboration we did together when I had introduced them to Renzinnia Farms for their Bouquet and Chef’s Special event.
Considering both Chef Aven and Renzinnia Farms were concurrent clients for the same event, I really wanted to make sure the collaboration was seamlessly documented on social media. Especially as we prepared to launch the event for sign-up.
This initial meeting was documented as Chef Aven test-ran the first draft menu using RF produce for the owners. It's crucial to both Chef Aven and I that the food preparation, along with the attention to detail, is documented, as it plays a significant role in defining their brand.
